Kintsugi, and loving the broken parts of yourself

Whether we admit it or not, we tend to dream of having a harmonious life, fulfilling relationships, successful careers, healthy bodies and high performing, attractive children – but life comes along and sometimes in small blows, sometimes in large ones takes these dreams and shatters them.

This is what we often describe as being broken, and it’s not something we generally seen as positive, but what if we changed the way we looked brokenness and could find the beauty in our flaws?

This is a recording of a talk I gave for a group of yoga teacher trainers on Kintsugi where I threw in some poetry, Ernest Hemingway, Brene Brown, Pema Chödrön and then we broke stuff and put it back together
